Afropop artiste Larry Vibez has released a new EP Diary of Vibez with which he tries to claim a spot in the Pop scene. Courtesy of his own label Big Larry’s Record, the new release arrives as a sizzling blend of Afropop and Amapiano.

The six-track project contains lead single Me & U, as well as other hits like Stuckz, Blessings and Jolly. It’s made more desirable with guest appearances of iconic Nigerian singer Oritse Femi and female vocalist Tiana Ice. Seasoned producers like Holla, Flamze, and Citi Boi serve as the backbone of the artistic output, engineering the production of the project.

Diary of Vibez explores relatable themes such as love, lust, wealth and blissful existence, incorporating party-worthy, danceable rhythms that appeal to the sensibility of the modern and  youth. The project begins with Stucksz in which the artiste takes pride in his material possessions and success. In Blessing, the artiste recognizes the impact of God in his wonderful becoming as he steals the moment to show appreciation to the divine being.

In the standout single, Me & U, where Larry Vibez recruits Tiana Ice as they explore a romantic storyline which has them acting as lovers. While the songstress admits the hypnotic effect of the love between them on her mind, the lead singer compares her to a drug that puts him in a good state. Brimming with appreciation for her in a show of lust, he reaffirms his affection for her.

Hope is expressed in the track No Luv as the artiste’s optimism in a better life and his ability to impress a hot chick collides with the slow-rockin beats. “Money go come and kele go show,” he sings. The final two tracks, Jaiye and Jolly, reinforce Larry Vibez’s belief in merriment and fun-filled endeavors as the desirable end for his hard work and struggles.

Born Norbert Chinonso David, Larry Vibez is a native of Imo State. Aiming to stand out and define himself as a music act with far-reaching appeal, he creates introspective lyrics that capture the life of the contemporary youth. He is the spokesperson for the fearless youth keen on discovering their place in the world.

The creative mind behind a number of celebrated tracks, Larry Vibez started making waves last year when he released singles such as Odo, Oh My God (OMG), Awule and Igbadunde. He also collaborated with Terry Apala on Omo Ope. A month ago, he released Ginger Me, and featured Oritse Femi on the track Jolly which is included in his latest project. Not only has he worked with renowned artistes on a number of music projects, but he has also shared the stage with them. While he continues to forge ahead in the vast African music arena, Larry retains faith in his path as an independent artiste, pushing the boundaries of creativity with unquenchable zeal and fierce entrepreneurial spirit.
