By now, we have all synonymized “kido-kido-kidominaaaant” with the greatest hits of 2017, responsible for and most commonly known for producing hits like Mama and Like Dat for Davido and Mayorkun.

The producer-turned-artist just released his first single featuring Wizkid titled Alright. While Kiddominant does not do a bad job himself on the track, as is expected, Wizkid steals the show. Lyrically, Wiz covers Wande Coal’s Taboo and his Tiwa’s Ma Lo. Rhythmically, the low-tempo afrobeat song is more than conversant grounds for Wizkid. So if this were a competition, Wiz was predetermined to win.

The narrative of the song is errrrr quite interesting. With the cover art, one would already get a pretty striking clue as to what the song is about, and boy do you get one hell of a dose. Seeing that Wiz was recently in the news saying he deems it disrespectful when he is compared to Fela, I can totally see him drawing direct influence from the legend while referring to a “sandwich” on this song.
