Since being unveiled with Eleko two years ago, Mayorkun has become one of the most dominant names in afrobeat music. Collaborating with the likes of Mr Eazi, Kidi, Davido and more, he’s a star in the making that has seen his star shine across the world thanks to his sounds. After an impressive 2017 with releases like Mama and Che Che, Mayorkun ended the year on a high with the Mayor of Lagos Concert on the 14th of December at Hard Rock Cafe.
Coming into 2018, he built on the name made in Africa and has leveraged it for a UK tour and is currently in the closing stages of his American tour. To close the year, he shall headline three shows across the nation. He will begin with the Ibadan show on the 21st of July at the Palms Shopping Mall before heading to Abuja on the 11th of August where he shall thrill a crowd at The Transcorp Hilton Hotel. His final show shall be one year after it all started on the 14th of December at the Balmoral Event Centre at Federal Palace Hotel.
Nobody has made the strides Mayorkun has in the past 24 months in Nigerian music and it’s great to see him continue to push forward with well planned and hopefully even better executed moves.
