Ever since his estrangement from his twin brother; Paul and their defunct group; P-Square, Mr P has maintained a low profile sonically perhaps as a result of the flak he got for his post break up singles; My Way, Wokie Wokie among others. Like the undaunting entertainer he is, the P Classic Record Label leader whose discography spans out to about 4 songs returns today after receiving an Award few months ago for his contribution to the industry with a Zulu inspired love themed song produced by Daihardbeats, tagged Zombie.
Not one to miss out on trends, Mr P enlists Simi for the piano centric record. Together, the vocal powerhouses detail their feelings on a cadence of synthesized mellow keys punctuated with drums flowing with series of bass grooves and they mirror the roiling emotions that inspires the song in the accompanying video which sees them playing the roles of Lovers against distinctive scenic and serene beach and desert backdrops.
Zombie does not do much in resurrecting Mr P’s discography short but waning discography but its an acceptable effort nonetheless.
