Sarkodie Comes With Signature Twi delivery on 4th Studio Album, Highest

Posted on

Its been 2 years since a composed body of work was released by the critically acclaimed African King of Rap – King Sark. His last project Mary was relatively successful and it brought forth works of art like Edwom Te S3n and All is You featuring Mugeez. Since then, with what has looked like a billion collaborations, Sarkodie has surely been busy with a lot of work. It is then testament to his grind that despite his topnotch delivery on almost all these features, he produces something as monumental as his just released 4th studio album – Highest.

One of the greatest men to ever communicate out of a microphone in Ghana.

Yes, that’s including Dr. Kwame Nkrumah

Coming straight out of community 9 Tema,

Your man dem’s champion, your people’s champion, your cities champion, your countries champion, your world champion…

We present to you the Highest.

Highest is a 19-track masterpiece that is stringed together at intervals with one of the most brilliant poets of our time – Suli Breaks. Suli fabricates with his words the very lifeblood of what can be referred to as phenomenal. Every track on the album asides Highest features an artist. Upon listening to the track, it is evident that the King wanted this all to himself. He switches styles back and forth on other songs, but on the Highest track, Sarkodie reminds us of the reason we fell in love with him in the first place. He goes hard with his signature hardcore Twi delivery from start to finish.

As concerns features, he combines his peculiar gift with the likes of Flavour, Joey B, Praiz, Victoria Kimani, Korede Bello, Big Narstie, Jayso and (thank goodness) Jesse Jagz. These features are characterized of every single sound you could think of. It has that smooth highlife sound with Flavor, pure rap with Suli, afro pop-ish with Korede Bello, trap with Jayso and so much more. Did we make mention of the gift that is Suli Breaks? Why, of course we did.

Anyone who has ever doubted the versatility of Sarkodie as an artist as regards his sound and delivery is definitely silenced on this project.
