The Nigeria Of My Dream #1

Paradise is described as a place of utter bliss or delight, this is the Nigeria of my dream.

Every good nation deserves a good leader while every great nation deserves the best leader. A leader who listens to the people but is not manipulated by the people, a leader who begins with the end in mind and not just with a mere plan, a leader whose plan is to lead the nation and not take advantage of it. The Nigeria of my dream is ruled by a leader with the above attributes as his guide.

A country such as Nigeria, which is recognised as one of the largest economies in Africa is expected to live up to expectations, such which include: constant power supply and not one where we thank the Power Holding Company for a quarter-day supply, solid and quality roads which support easy movement and not bad traffic, a good security system which can assure a citizen of quality protection at any point in time and an emergency dial-number so efficient that criminals think twice before any action, an educational system so good that the only difference between public and private schools is the fees, medical services which can assure a distressed individual of adequate and quality attention when needed, availability of job opportunities such that people are unemployed due to choice or personal reasons and not otherwise, this is a country of good standards and the country of my dreams.

A place where corruption is not uttered when put in thought, a place with people who have an aim to accomplish and not to tarnish, a place recognized as a developed country and not in-between under developed and developing, a place where religious differences are set aside and not one against the other, a place where power supply is so good that it does not have to be part of the president’s manifesto, a place where education is not a privilege but a compulsory stage of life, a place where job opportunities are made easily available to the unemployed, a place where there is struggle to find a poor man.

This is the Nigeria of My Dream.
