Ycee has adopted a weekly release style in preparation for the release of his comeback album, YceeVsZaheer. Two weeks ago, he gave us the lover boy Ycee on the Krisbeatz produced Dakun. Last week, it was calculating Ycee on Mo Salah. This week, the rapper makes his way forward on Wahala Dey, a springy yet intense love song complete with bass riffs to help get his listener’s groove on.
Clearly Ycee hasn’t lost his rhythm and poetry magic as he dispenses a slew of witty lines in a bid to woo his muse and with the combination of the track’s mid-tempo but bouncy instruments, its safe to way Wahala Dey is a successful attempt at marking his territory with corny lines just before the full-length project drops.
Accompanying the release of Wahala Dey is the colorful video for the album’s first single Dakun which sees Ycee delivering his best moves in several found footage hallucinatory scenes that build on his sleek narrative.
