Yemi Alade returns with suggestive single, Charliee

Yemi Alade has risen to one of Africa’s leading acts over the course of the past four years with tracks like Johnny, Ferrari and Koffi Anan sitting high on the charts across the continent and her choice to employ languages like French and Swahili further pushing her work to new heights as a result of appeal to non-English communities. Alade’s latest release, Charliee is a suggestive one on which she creates images in the heads of listeners and probably leaves you desiring a Yemi Alade in your life.

Charliee is produced by Fliptyce who is also credited with the production of Koffi Anan and is an improvement in songwriting from tracks like Tumbum but still leaves much to be desired. Despite her lacking in terms of songwriting, Alade continues to impress and a recent video which surfaced on Twitter from a performance in France shows that the fans appreciate her just the way she is.
