From churning out his debut album Original Vibe Machine, the critically acclaimed No Wahala Remix featuring his colleagues, Kizz Daniel and Tiwa Savage, and now, his latest single Summer Love, 1da Banton is ready to invite new listeners into his world.
Summer Love is 1da Banton’s second official release for the year. The record which was produced by Michon pictures 1da Banton in a state of puzzlement prompted by the betrayal of love, and also yearning for love as he sings over the harmonious instrumentation of the track with lyrics such as, “I been dey think say I too sabi, until dem break my heart oh, and now you don dey show me love wey dey feel like true love, I dey see everything e dey be like true love, but I no wan believe believe believe believe you.” Barely a week after release, the was met with ecstatic reviews from fans and critics on social media and various publications.
1da Banton has also released the official music video for Summer Love. Directed by the sought-after video director, Adasa Cookey, the music video exudes the song’s vibrant spirit. It displays the singer’s star power as he sings about being heartbroken but still yearning for love, using his captivating voice. Summer Love is the second visual masterpiece by 1da Banton this year, following the exciting visual he gave us for the smash hit No Wahala Remix featuring Kizz Daniel and Tiwa Savage.
Having gained international recognition and support from the prominent forces of Black Music, 1da Banton is a champion and driving force in an exciting era for African music. The video gives off a fun summer affair showing 1da Banton (and friends) having a swell time on the beach.
