The Geng

At the top of this list is The Geng, also known as The Geng NG. The Geng, one of the many creator groups based in Lagos, Nigeria, was created in February of 2022. It’s current members include popular influencer Eni “The lipgloss boy” Adeoluwa, Frances Theodore, Tobe Ugeh, Susan Pwajok, Eronini Osinachim, Jerry Chuks aka Softmadeit, Nimiie, Priscilla Ajoke Ojo, Maliya Michael, Ammie, & Beauty. With their combined influence The Geng have managed to grow their Instagram to over 200,000 followers, TikTok to over 300,000 followers, and have a YouTube channel with almost 100,000 subscribers and 2 million views.

Hype Squad 

With almost 2 million views and over 40,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel, Hype Squad is definitely a Nigerian creator group you need to know. Created in April 2021, Hype Squad get together to create vlogs and challenges that are fun and entertaining. Members of the Hype Squad include blogger and influencer Osas, Akinyemi Oluwaseun Asher aka Asher Kine, Simi Sanya, Becky Ryonne Rasaq, Ereme, and Egbeyemi Taiwo. Hype Squad have described themselves as “just a group of young creators having the time of their lives.”

Play House

Also describing themselves as a group of creators having the time of their lives, Play House or Play House Naija is a creator group founded in May 2022 and they are more prevalent on TikTok. The 13 person group which had 6 members at the time of its launch is made up of Rodney Umeh, Okeoghene Gift Camille, Ashley Levi, Valerie Mia, Maduakor Chisom Faustina, Mayokun, Khloe, Abdulmaleek Uthman, Emuze Clinton aka Gentuu, Babatunde Timiletin Ayomikun aka Badboy Riri, and triplets Tomisin, Tomiwa, and Toni. The Play House Naija TikTok account boasts of over 300,000 followers.

The Capitals

Abuja based TikToker group The Capitals have described themselves as the “official Abuja TikTokers Hype House.” Created in April 2022, the group is made up of 14 TikTokers. It’s members are Dammy, King Remzy, Fanny, Jamaal, Trixx, Abubakar Lee Sadeek aka Anikstar, Heelariouz Architect, Empress Rhema, Emmy Jake, Victoria aka Lumpy Space Princess, Big Treshyl, Baby Onyia, Tes, and Asap Nwa. Their official TikTok account has over 150,000 followers. 

Prime Block

Claiming to be a certified TikTok creatives house, Prime Block was founded in April 2022. It’s 9 members who double as housemates are Tracy, Michaelson Omole, Eddy Blackson, Yemikiss, Symply Peace, DGenius, Bernie, Defhize, and Afro Barbie. Their combined influence has helped them grow their joint TikTok account to almost 190,000 followers. 

The Circle

Championing a “creativity meets fun” approach to their content, The Circle is a popular TikTok house created in April 2022. The Circle have over 170,000 followers on TikTok and almost 10,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel that houses their web series, Strange. Its members include Prisca Herbert, Mimi Kings, Darasimi, Perry Blink, Simeon Blinks, Symply Ciana, Black Chully, and Cee Di.

The Outlaws

Created in May 2022, The Outlaws are the least popular group in this list. Gradually gaining traction, the group boasts of 20,000 followers on their TikTok account. Claiming not to follow the rules because of their “outlaw” status, The Outlaws are made up of 11 members.
