Like her contemporaries leveraging the variety of inspirations, one can get from being a homebody due to the pandemic and it’s accompanying lockdown policies, Adé Lasodé has had a pandemic induced single run since the start of it for her. She’s has put out as much as four singles this year and it seems like her creative juices haven’t dried up. She carries on with Tears In My Beamer, a mellow piano-driven cut that doubles as an introspective session.
On the Beatsmith produced single, Ade is joined by U. who lends his gruff vocals to juxtapose the former’s silky articulation and her narrative. The duo is intoxicated by love and other drugs and the dangerous combination is telling in the compelling way they release their words and broach the subject of chaotic feelings.
Adé Lasodé is every girl with a bone to pick with her feelings and Tears In My Beamer is the cream on the cake of dark emotions.
