Adekunle Gold’s sophomore album, About 30 is without debate, in the conversation for albums of the year thus far. The multitalented artist does what he’s done all his career, create timeless highlife music with minimal assistance. Features like those of Dyo, Seun Kuti and Flavour are as complementary as they get and help Adekunle put together an impressive body of work.
To close the month, Mr Gold shall bring himself, the new album and the 79th Element band to the people in the UK with a concert at the O2 in Greenwich on the 29th of June.
