In the past few years, we’ve tipped Tekno for big things not just because of his abilities as an artist but also because of the understanding of music that comes from being a producer. Maleek Berry has shown he has the chops to transition albeit only truly in the Afro-pop genre till date. Another producer who is showing his understanding of the art as he transitions into an artist is Adey. Since the release of Dirty Diego, just over one year ago, we’ve seen Adey alter what we’re usually used to as he bounced around genres with tracks like Bad, Split and Cigarette. His latest release, Slender further sees Adey fashion his own territory as he maintains the slowed down tempo he has often opted for on his releases as he sings about the effect his ‘Slender’ baby has on him.
