Airboy Weighs The Importance Of Money On ‘Koko’

Following the release of his acclaimed debut EP, Vibes in 2018, led by the revered Burna Boy assisted Ayepo (Remix), Airboy, whose name is a function of the feelings his articulation and sound elicits, has actively tried to remain on our radars, reinforcing the authority Ayepo earned him with even more singles like Dance. As proof of hard work and relevance, he snagged a coveted Rookie Of The Year nomination in 2018 and since then, there’s been no stopping him.

With his freshly signed deal with Oladips Records, Airboy’s energy is peaking. He channels said energy into another potential hit titled Koko, slated for a December 4th release.

On the high energy single, he teams up with music producer, Phantom, to drive home the importance of his very relatable priority, money. “Tori owo mii oshe koko” is a local slang used to emphasize the importance of money, Airboy uses it to create a level ground for himself and his listeners. His inclusion of the state of the country and how it affects his hustle also feeds his desire to be relatable across all groups.

Koko is a hustler’s anthem and its multidimensional nature in sound and story makes it worthy.
