Nigerian highlife and Afrobeat duo Ajebo Hustlers have collaborated with Nigerian rapper and singer, Odumodublvck, on their latest new single, Celine Dion.

Made up of rapper, Knowledge and vocalist Piego, Ajebo Hustlers has released a series of Afropop hits, including songs like Barawo, Annabella, and Pop Sermon. OdumoduBlvck possesses an impressive catalog of his own, too. After first appearing in 2018 with his debut E.P. The Trenches, OdumoduBlvck has gone on to drop major tracks like Declan Rice, Blood on the Dance Floor, and Cast, which features Nigerian rapper Shallipopi.

Speaking on how Celine Dion came together, Ajebo Hustlers said, “We actually wanted a song that had a direction to celebrate the African woman, creating a good feel song for the ladies, just like a gangster being in love. So, we got into the studio with Wondah, a producer we have previously worked with, and gave him the idea we had, he created the beat, and we created the melodies and verses to it.”

Undeniably, Celine Dion nails dancefloor-worthy rhymes and infectious tunes by mixing Pidgin language with catchy hooks. The nature of the hook, “She give me groundnut and kolanut” depicts the African custom of offering Kolanut and groundnut to represent a man’s true devotion when seeking a wife. Ajebo Hustlers and Odumodublvck also attempt to infuse the track with a unique electric charm that characterizes their music style.

Written by George Dandeson, Isaiah Precious, and Kemuel Emmanuel, Celine Dion is produced by Wondah and is the first single off their Bad Boy Etiquette 102, an album slated for release sometime in 2024.
