Ajebutter 22 has mastered the act of maintaining scarcity by sparsely releasing new music with only 4 records over the past two years prior to his recently released sophomore album, What Happens In Lagos. His second 2017 release and one of the album’s singles, Wayward is proof of the double standard that exists with interpreting men and women’s endeavors in Lagos.
Butter packs club hopping, getting drunk and the loads of pre-drinks attended into the record however, where he’s a tad problematic is the suggestion that these girls are wayward for just the same things men are guilty of and suffer no blowback for. In the video which was shot, filmed and edited by Visuals by San and Wavy The Creator, Ajebutter heads to Backyard Lagos where he’s joined by friends for a party which less well off Frank Donga and Ebiye crash.
