Alternative R&B Sensation Neza Explores Regret And Heartbreak On New Single ‘Should Have Cared’

Coming on the back of the massive success of her last single ‘Trouble’, which has amassed over half a million plays online, and recently been selected by Apple Music as their ‘Africa Rising’ artist, alternative R&B singer and songwriter Nezsa is excited to unveil her brand new single Should Have Cared as she continues to sow the seeds for her highly anticipated debut album and sophomore project To All The Heartbreakers, which is set for release this Spring.

Written and composed by Nezsa, produced by Denzl (BNXN, Papi Ojo), and engineered by Mariano Bilinkis (KHEA, Emilia Mernes, Nicki Nicole), Should Have Cared is a neo-soul masterpiece from the Nigerian rising star, driven by her sultry and enchanting vocals, lush and layered melodies, and vivid storytelling. The track is brought further to life by its immaculate soundscape; from the captivating drum and bass patterns and the minimalist violin arrangements to the saxophone section.

Should Have Cared sees Nezsa continuing to explore the themes of love and relationships that will manifest all over her upcoming album To All The Heartbreakers, as the title suggests. After she asks for care on the fragile Break, then confronts a toxic ex-lover on her last single Trouble, Nezsa is in a much more reflective mood on Should Have Cared as she goes through an internal battle of healing from the past, and opens up about regret and heartbreak from a previous relationship.
