After a hiatus over the latter half of 2019, Lagos based rapper Arniee F is in a different mode now, recording music again with the intent of proving his relevance and worth in the industry. Armed with gritty bars and ready to throw his name in the ring, he releases two-part single Payday!, a dynamic composition of two songs, Run It Up and Paperchaser, both of which highlight his affinity for unique beats and lyrical dexterity.
The first single, Run It Up kicks off with Arniee F aiming at anyone willing to stand between him and financial success. Recorded at a high point last year, the single finds the budding rapper at his boastful best rapping over an equally thunderous beat. Surrounded by “real ones, day ones, and fake ones too” Arniee F’s focus remains firmly on being successful.
On Paperchaser, the goal is still the same but the journey feels different as Arniee gives more than a look into his mindset over a beat, driven by bouncy synths, sunny morning to the murky night of Run It Up. He raps slickly about all the distractions that can abound when one has a single pursuit in mind.
