For The Girls Them singer, Moses Oghenare, popularly known as Arrel, has released another song titled Whyne. Explaining the idea for the new single, he credits the global pandemic for propelling him to produce a sound that would bring people together on the dance floor. “My inspiration for Whyne came as a result of the psychological effect that the global pandemic has caused on a lot of people,” he said. “The world has been ill for a while now and seeing the world slowly healing is a glimmer of hope for me. So, I deemed it necessary to produce a sound that would bring people together on the dance floor and that was how I came about Whyne.”

Arrel, who describes his sound as Afro-Pop Dancehall music, also shared his thoughts on the Nigerian entertainment industry. In his words;

“The Nigeria entertainment industry is at a peak already and I’m proud of it. This generation of Nigerian musicians are becoming more and more innovative with sounds and just recently, Burna boy and Wizkid won the Grammys. Talented musicians from Nigeria has contributed tremendously to this immense growth and the likes of Fela Anikulapokuti, Sir Orlando Owo, Oliva de Coque to mention but a few pioneered the entertainment industry for decades. Nigeria music industry has grown far beyond its niche and we all can see this ripple effect across the globe already.”
