Audiomack Now Allows Artists Make Money Directly From Fans With New ‘Supporters’ Feature

On December 7, 2021, Audiomack rolled out a new feature called ‘Supporters.’ With this first-of-its-kind feature in music streaming, artists now have an opportunity to generate money directly from their music. Features like this new monetization tool set Audiomack apart as an artist-first music streaming and discovery platform.

‘Supporters’ increases fan engagement by allowing artists to directly engage with their fans when they release new music, share exclusive content and limited content. In return, fans can show their appreciation by funding artists directly with ‘support badges’ for individual songs and albums.

Talking about this new feature, Dave Macli, Audiomack co-founder and CEO said, “With Supporters, Audiomack is treating artists as they see themselves — as entrepreneurs building profitable careers. Supporters creates brand new monetization opportunities for our creator community while bringing dedicated fans closer to the music and artists they love.”

Artists can see when their fans buy a badge as each contribution “is forever memorialized” on their Audiomack profile and the artist’s individual song or album page. The streaming platform also gives fans access to shareable graphics to be posted across social media that show off their support for their favourite artists.

Supporters are ranked on three levels from First, which is for the first supporters for a release; Top for the supporters who contributed the most to Latest for the most recent supporters.

To participate in Supporters, artists must apply for and gain access to Audiomack Monetization Program (AMP), or distribute their music to Audiomack through participating partners, including but not limited to Warner Music Group, Amuse, AudioSalad Direct, DistroKid, EMPIRE, FUGA, Stem, and Vydia.
