There is something worth paying attention to when a brand shows up in spaces that bring people together through music, culture and shared experiences. Ballantine’s Blended Scotch Whisky did exactly that at the April edition of Seize The Day at Varuna by The Good Beach in Abuja, supporting a gathering that celebrated creativity, connection and the Stay True spirit.
April 26th, 2026 brought together a crowd that needed no convincing. Seize The Day has cultivated a community of people united by a shared love for music, culture and authentic experiences. From 2PM to 10PM, the energy never dipped as guests connected, discovered new sounds and embraced the moments that make gatherings like these memorable.
The lineup set the tone for the day. PK opened with a set that drew the crowd in, followed by a seamless rotation of DJs including Banx, AP The Saint, Zino, Bob Jay, R Blaise, Borsh, Gigi Jasmine, Burna, Kendrick and Dus Dus. For eight uninterrupted hours, the music carried the energy from start to finish, holding the crowd in constant motion.
At the Ballantine’s bar, the cocktail menu stayed flavour-forward and accessible from afternoon into night. Ballantine’s and Apple, Ballantine’s Lightning and Ballantine’s Sour offered guests multiple entry points into the liquid, with Ballantine’s present throughout the experience as part of the social fabric of the day.
Ballantine’s decision to invest in Seize The Day in Abuja is part of something bigger. The brand has built genuine credibility in DJ-led spaces through years of consistent presence, and this edition is a deliberate extension of that commitment northward.
Nigeria’s music-driven communities are not confined to one city, and Ballantine’s has made it clear that neither is its investment in them. The Stay True ethos travels, and this moment is part of that ongoing expression. Stay True is about staying true to yourself, embracing your creativity, and refusing to conform. It is this belief that continues to shape how Ballantine’s shows up within music and culture spaces across the country.
April 26th was a clear reflection of that belief in action.
