Bawo marks Return with Long-awaited EP, ‘Legitimate Cause’

After the release of a string of singles including Surf That Well and SKATE, West London native Bawo has returned with his long-awaited EP titled Legitimate Cause. Bawo is set to have an incredible 2023 as he is set to embark on his debut UK headline tour- The Conference Tour- in March, with his London show already selling out. 

Bawo’s sound is an amalgamation of contemporary rap music that can be as boisterous and braggadocious as it is sincere and vulnerable. Over alternative leaning production, Bawo offers thoughtfully constructed stories of his life, speaking on topics of identity, relationships and aspirations of a better life for himself and his friends.  

The seven-track EP is packed with smooth, well-crafted songs with lyrics to match. With features from Reek0, Oscar #Worldpeace and Ayeisha Raquel, the skilled rapper is clearly looking to cement his place in the UK scene this year.
