Moving to Lagos in search of green pastures

White Money spent many years in the North working as a barber and selling food for his mother in a local restaurant. Things changed after he got invited for a video shoot.

He decided to stay back in Lagos after shooting the video and working on his friend’s album. He got kicked out of his place after a month. Homeless with nowhere to go, he lived under Ojuelegba bridge before a pastor took him in for a year. He was back under the bridge and living in uncompleted buildings after one year.

During this time, he had several jobs including fixing generators, communication masts, cleaning water tanks, photography, transportation, comedy and singing to make ends meet.

He said: “I’ve done photography, fixed tiger generators, and fixed telecommunications mast; all because of the hustle and bustle”.

Sharing his story with Arin, one of the current BBNaija housemates, he said he once sold puff-puff, adding that he was constantly harassed by hoodlums. He also explored his hair making and barbing skills talent which made him popular in areas like Ojuelegba and Yaba.

Consequently, Whitemoney decided to abandon his petty jobs for bigger dreams. So, he decided to start importing designer shoes. Soon, he had saved up enough money to fund his other businesses and he didn’t stop there. He has shared his plans to launch his personal shoe business soon.

He proceeded into the fashion industry, got featured in Afri Fashion Magazine before making his way to the Big Brother house where he continues to win viewers over with his positive energy.
