In dispelling the claims that the Hip-hop scene in the Nigerian music industry is unable to produce an enviable class of Rappers, Blaqbonez has put himself on everyone’s radar as the mainstream messiah of his time and class. With well received projects released in the span of a year, the young M.C has carved a niche for himself in the industry and put himself on the map. Few weeks ago, he began the promotion for the video for the remix of Mamiwota featuring Oxlade, a standout off his Bad Boy Blaq – Re Up mixtape and as promised, he shared the TG Omori directed video on Friday.
Sharing the spotlight with Oxlade, we see Blaqbonez and his muse, energetically and dramatically display their feelings for each other. The hood aesthetic projected also makes the crispy video more interesting with its Bonnie and Clyde vibes.
Mamiwota has now taken the foremost position in Blaqbonez’s list of best visual works and serves well as an indication of his growth – one that has been interesting to track.
