Rapper and singer-songwriter Blaqbonez is back with a deluxe version after the successful release of his debut album Sex Over Love, which peaked at number 1 on Nigeria’s Apple Music’s Top Album Charts. The lead single Bling also landed the number 1 spot on Apple Music Nigeria’s top 200 charts.
The deluxe album has five new additional tracks with lots of electrifying features from Oxlade, Bella Shmurda, Kwesi Arthur, Kuami Eugene and other amazing acts. The project also has hit singles like Haba, Bling, Fendi and Okwaraji as well as remixes of a couple of his old hit songs. Blaq leans heavily into his Afrobeats and Trap influences on songs like Don’t Touch and Faaji.
For his core hip hop fans, he has tracks like Heart Breaker, Oparaji and Zombie. Like the original version, the deluxe version is consistent with the Chocolate City artist’s sex over love gospel. On why he is releasing a deluxe album, Blaq said; “the album is my most successful body of work, it’s only right to end the biggest year of my career so far with a deluxe”.
