BNXN Taps Kizz Daniel And Seyi Vibez For New Single, “Gwagwalada”

Following the release of his sophomore EP last year, Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN, has released a new single titled Gwagwalada. Produced by celebrated hit producer Sarz, Gwagwalada is an upbeat Afrobeats tune with an exotic Amapiano swing to it.

Before the song’s official release, BNXN took to his social media to share a teaser video of the upcoming single. Gwagwalada, titled after a local government area in Abuja, Nigeria, is an interesting deviation from BNXN’s ongoing fixation on Lagos (Gbagada) in his recent lyrics on songs like JAE5’s Propeller and Minz’s Wo Wo remix. 

Kizz Daniel kicks the song off with his calm intro as he sings “Beni kolobi / kuna ni mo bi / Ja ni su na ji shun.” BNXN and Kizz Daniel then share a catchy chorus that sets the pace for Seyi Vibez to deliver his exciting verse. “I enter from Abuja go Gwagwalada / Won ni mo taka sufe si, awon da? / I no fit force am if e don pass my power / I roll up my shawarma / I dey for Gwagwalada” the chorus goes. While the meaning of the lyrics have been called into question, Gwagwalada is essentially a feel good track that seeks to shine the light on a popular Abuja location.

BNXN was recently announced as the winner of the ‘Next Rated’ category at The Headies 2022 which saw him take home a brand new Bentley. BNXN’s Gwagwalada follows his previous singles Traboski and Omo Elewa.
