DRB count themselves as being shapers of the alte subset referring to the generation of artists who have built an audience away from the mainstream. Over the last 2 years, the group has constantly promised a debut album that is still yet to come. However, that hasn’t stopped its members from stacking up on their own. Boj has built on his synergy with Ajebutter and and the duo went a notch higher acquiring Falz as part of their supergroup culminating in Make E No Cause Fight 2 while Teezee and Fresh L have dropped singles sporadically.
Enlisting the weighty production skills of fellow alternative scene pioneer GMK who sets the tone for BOJ’s sensual lyricism with bouncy drums, the Assignment‘s pleasantly building sonic progression lends a flawless backdrop for BOJ’s gruff and intoxicating delivery.
