BOJ Releases “Gbagada Express” Sequel: “Gbagada Express Vol 2: Moving Mad”

Boj has released a sequel to his 2022 album Gbagada Express, Gbagada Express Vol 2: Moving Mad. Regarded as an icon in the Alte scene, Boj is considered one of the pioneers of the sound and a member of the Alte first family, DRB Lasgidi. The artist is not new to sequel projects, in 2019 he released the EP Make E No Cause Fight 2, a collaborative project with Ajebutter and Falz which expanded on the tone and narrative of the 2018 EP Make E No Cause Fight created alongside Ajebutter. 

Gbagada Express Vol 2: Moving Mad is a carefully crafted body of work that features Nigerian artists Ayra Starr, Tay Iwar, Odumodublvck, and British rapper Knucks. The album is produced by brilliant producers including Boj himself, Le Mav, Tay Iwar, Genio, P.Priime, and Spax. 

The exciting new project explores different themes like wealth in Foreigner, love in 2 Bad, a track dedicated to his girlfriend Dunsin Wright, and self-adulation in the hard-hitting No Option. Boj’s raspy and flirty texture is present in all the tracks, making the album a gentle and seductive project worth getting lost in.
