On the 30th of November, BUJU had his first show in London which is the first location for his “Sorry I’m late” concert. Following the concert in Lafayette, London, the Nigerian Afropop singer formally known as Daniel Benson has been receiving praises from his fans for what many consider as a night of good music.
Praising the popular singer who has been on a roll all year, a fan took to her Instagram story to say, “BUJU is an exceptional artist and performer. After his beautiful performance at Wizkid’s concert he came today and smashed it at his own concert”. Artists who performed at BUJU’s concert include Bella Shmurda who entertained the crowd with his hit song Cash App.
The London concert came just days after he got nominated for the prestigious Grammy awards following his feature on Wizkid’s Made In Lagos Album: Deluxe Edition which was nominated for Best Global Music Album. Days later, he also went ahead to have his first taste at performing to over 20,000 audiences at Wizkids Day 1 O2 Arena concert. He went ahead to express his gratitude to fans for singing his songs back to back and to Wizkid for giving him the platform.
Next, BUJU plans to end his impressive year on a high note with a concert in Lagos, Nigeria. He had earlier gone on Instagram to announce his Lagos concert which got both fans and artists excited as his songs have been enjoyed across the board. Wizkid showed support to the young king as he commented; “Inside!!!”. One happy fan commented; “Because of you, I must be in Lagos on 22nd”.
The concert will be on the 22nd of December at the Balmoral Convention Center, Victoria Island, Lagos and is packaged by Achievas Entertainment. Daniel Cole Chiori, one of the directors of Achievas Entertainment said, “BUJU is such a talented musician and he has shown his worth with the songs he has dropped and we are glad to partner with him to showcase a bit of his talent to the world”.
