Burna Boy Announces Love, Damini Stadium Tour

Burna Boy continues to set records by packing venues to full capacities during the various stops for his Love, Damini tour, and he has taken things a step further by announcing a Love, Damini stadium tour for 2023. At this point it seems the African Giant is done with arenas after sold out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden, London’s O2 Arena and Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. On Friday, October 7th, 2022, the most booked African act in the game announced on his social media that he would be headlining multiple shows at the 40,000-capacity Paris La Defense in Paris, France on May 20th 2023, the 60,000-capacity London Stadium in the United Kingdom on June 3rd, 2023, and the 34,000-capacity Gelredome Arnhem in Arnhem, the Netherlands on June 24th, 2023.

This announcement came as a surprise to many while to others it wasn’t too surprising. To a lot of people, Burna Boy announcing a stadium tour feels natural as Burna is known for always setting the pace and taking things to new heights. However, Burna’s fans right here in Nigeria and in other African countries are not too pleased with the absence of shows in the country and continent respectively. Many have called for the superstar to consider adding some African dates to his current tour dates.

Burna who simply captioned the announcement “2023, a new realm” is fully aware of the magnitude and significance of the journey he’s embarking on. The announcement follows the recent confirmation by Nigeria’s novel standard music data provider, TurnTable Charts, that Burna Boy is the most streamed Nigerian artist across Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, Spotify, and YouTube via their verified Twitter handle which came some days after Apple Music revealed the all-time metric for Nigerian artists’ performance on their platform.
