Burna Boy, Trevor Noah, Angelique Kidjo Earn Grammy Nominations
GMK, P2J, Wizkid, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage also earn nominations for their work on various projects!

Earlier today, the nominations for the 62nd Academy Awards were announced. Lizzo led the way with 8 nominations while Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X followed with 6 nominations each. On the African side of the spectrum, Burna Boy, Angelique Kidjo and Trevor Noah are some of the nominees who earned individual honors while artists featured on projects like Beyonce’s The Gift are also nominated by virtue of the project earning nominations.
This nomination marks Burna’s first at the Grammy’s and comes under the Best World Album category where his African Giant will go up against Celia from one of his inspirations, Angelique Kidjo. Trevor Noah on the other hand earns his nomination under the Best Comedy Album category where he is tussling with Ellen Degeneres, Dave Chappelle and Aziz Ansari amongst others.
The Grammy’s will hold on the 26th of January and we can’t wait!
