Bustwize and Lil5ive Ye Ye

Afrobeats artist, Bustwize teams up with vibrant singer Lil5ive for a new energetic single,  Ye Ye.

Known for his 2022 E.P. Conspiracy, Bustwize has long since built a reputation for his socially conscious sound. On Conspiracy’s second track, E Sure For Me, he sings with conviction about the legacy he aims to build, buoyed by the E.P.’s infectious rhythm-driven production. Meanwhile, the club-ready Armapaino (lo lo lo) spotlights Bustwize’s ability to craft eclectic, dance-floor ready anthems. On the other hand, Lil5ive is an equally versatile talent with a number of projects to his name, including Omo Ologo (2019) which amassed over 600,000 streams on Spotify. Equally talented at singing and rapping, Lil5ive lends his dynamic vocal abilities to the duo’s single released on March 7, Ye Ye

Here, Bustwize and Lil5ive blend their voices over an introspective soundscape, creating an immersive listening experience that draws the listener in. Ye Ye finds the two artists confronting the ever-present reality of adversity. Rather than let the naysayers deter them, they declare that their armor is bulletproof, and no matter how hard others try to bring them down, they will persevere. The track’s production mirrors the artists’ reflective headspace, as they draw parallels between the challenges they face in their respective music journeys. Despite any obstacles, Bustwize and Lil5ive remain focused and unwavering, their eyes open to the harsh truths that come with rising to the top.

Weaving vivid lyrical imagery with their dynamic vocal interplay, the collaborators craft an anthemic ode to resilience in the face of adversity. Ye Ye serves as a reminder that, no matter how many haters try to block their path, the artists are steadfast in their determination to achieve their goals and leave a lasting impact in the music industry.

Produced by Switz Beats, Ye Ye was written by Akpuri Oghenerukevwe and Wisdom Anthony Osekaje.
