Housed under a growing mine of rich talent known as 86 Entertainment in the musically sleepy city of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria, Caleb Hampton and Chigratt are two names that might sound foreign now but will be topics of discussion in the nearest future. As they continue to push with several releases under their belts and even a management deal for Chigratt, they reveal more and more of themselves with each release, latest of which is Caleb Hampton’s Falling which of course features Chigratt.
With references to Atlanta, Hollywood’s trap hub and other foreign elements, Falling is an encapsulation of cultures that stretch beyond Nigeria’s limited Afro-Pop space. Its production, delivery and execution are indications of refined taste.
