Calvin Harris treads uncharted waters with Normani and Wizkid this week in new afrocentric single which serves as the first of a dual collective with Normani who powers both records and gets a Wizkid assist on Checklist featuring the self dubbed Starboy delivering a rastafarian inspired sonnet and back up vocals; a reprisal and reminiscence of his role on Drake’s chart topper; One Dance.

The only disparity between this and One Dance is the uncertainty stemming from a likelihood of Checklist becoming a chart topper and bagging similar accolades as Drake’s One Dance. Otherwise both tracks are quite synonymous in lyricism, features and matching soundscapes, whereas Calvin Harris stylizes his with pipey synths chopped and looped to flow with timely bass drums creating a synergy with the electro funk vibes Normani and Wizkid bring to the table.
