BET award-nominated afropop sensation and uber-talented Ghanaian artist Camidoh has  teamed up with Jamaican dancehall legend Vybz Kartel, British rapper Miss LaFamilia and Australia-born Dj Lara Fraser in a new single Taxi Man.

Produced by UK legend Toddla T and award-winning Ghanaian producer Streetbeatz, Taxi Man is a blend of dancehall and Afrobeats rhythms that is full of vibes. The song is inspired by trademark dancehall soundscapes with groovy bassline and catchy synths. Powered  by the lead singer Camidoh’s R&B and Afrobeats melodies, an excellent vocal delivery from Miss LaFamilia and Vybz Kartel’s appreciable add-on, the track becomes infectious and is sure to get listeners hooked.

The innovative portrait-style music video is directed by blossoming filmmaker Amane Akbaraly, as it includes behind-the-scene cuts through the life of Camidoh, Miss LaFamilia, and DJ Lara Fraser at the famous Zap Studios situated in London’s Camberwell.

Reacting to the inspiration behind Taxi Man as well as the artistic collaboration, Dj Lara Fraser notes that “The song is a feel-good summer vibe about spreading love and being loyal to your girl. We linked up from all over the world for this one, and I loved every step of the process”. Miss LaFamilia adds that “it was so much fun making this record, I can’t wait for everybody to hear it”, while Camidoh cannot hide his excitement at having Vybz Kartel onboard as he notes that  “it’s always great vibes when you get to do a record with a legend”.

Following nominations at this year’s BET Awards and the Headies, as well as the success of his debut project L.I.T.A, Camidoh is currently experiencing a good time in the music industry. With this  latest addition to his musical oeuvre, he continues to position himself for international acclaim.
