When Ghanaian singer Camidoh released his single Sugarcane late last year alongside Nigerian record producer and singer Phantom, the song quickly became an instant hit. But when the remix (featuring King Promise’s silky vocals, Nigerian superstar Mayorkun and talented rapper Darkoo) dropped in April this year, the song blew up even more!
And now the artists have teamed up once again to give us an exciting new video for the track.
Already sitting comfortably on the Trending For Music list on Youtube with more than 700,000 views since its release, the video was directed and shot by Ghanaian cinematographer and video creator, Rexford Kyei-Sarkodie (popularly known as Rex The Director).
Just over 4 minutes long, the long awaited official video boasts of several well-shot frames, pretty women and aesthetically pleasing colours, providing the perfect drop for each of the featured artists to make their appearances on screen. As the video winds to a close, viewers are treated to some last minute dance moves, a beautiful, serene waterside view and Camidoh’s satisfied and contagious smile right at the end.
