Cheque is the latest benefactor of Davido’s benevolence and Wale’s desire to stay rooted in his home country. On the remix of his biggest hit of 2020, Zoom, he taps into the singer and rapper’s hit-making abilities to give the single an avoidable edge.

Retaining the single’s original 808s led soundscape, the sweeping piano intro, and his king-making hook, Cheque’s spin on this remix comes in form of Davido’s verse, an outpour of braggadocios rhymes that gives way to Wale’s edgier delivery, confidence laced bars that match Cheque’s and in fact, spotlights his potential.

While the remix could have been done without, it’s a welcome offering that stretches Cheque’s tentacles.
