Imoh Umoren’s Children of Mud is now available on Amazon Prime Video

Children of Mud, Imoh Umoren’s indie drama about homelessness is now available on Amazon prime video.

The award-winning film toured film festivals around the world, gathering rave reviews; especially for the performance of its lead, child actor Mariam Kayode, whose performance earned her a nomination in the Best Actress in Drama category at last year’s Africa Movie Viewer Choice Award (AMVCA).

Children of Mud is a story which follows two orphaned kids who go in search of a miracle. Emem and her blind brother Miracle live with their Aunt Aniesin in a little town and have to endure abuse from Aniesin and her husband. Verbal and physical abuse. Taken by a televangelist they watch one day on their way to the farm Emem decides to go to the city with Miracle to get the televangelist to make her brother see.

The indie film director’s heist caper, Club, which stars Nancy Isime, Baaj Adebule, Kelechi Udegbe and Saheed Balogun is also available to watch on prime video.

Umoren has been on his Chico Ejiro this year, churning out films as quickly as the Nollywood veteran. This year he has released Lagos: Sex, Lies and Traffic already and there is Dear Bayo, The Coffin Salesman and The Herbert Macaulay Affair still to come.
