ChuXchu Explores The Many Facets Of Love On Debut EP ‘Luv Struck’

American-based Nigerian artist, Chuxchu, releases his debut album, Luv Struck on the back of the album’s warmly released lead single, Whatchyu Want. The five-tracker portrays the pain and beauty resulting from love. He contrasts the two emotions to deliver intimate and hearty lyrics with catchy melodies that keep the EP in perfect pitch and harmony.

From the captivating earlier-released opener, Whatchyu Want, the EP is a smooth serene sail of different degrees of emotions and the attachment that is often faced. The single also serves as a blueprint for the remaining four tracks that find ChuXchu in different phases driven by his feelings.

Luv Struck has only one feature, Ayo Jay on the bouncy RnB cut, Numbers Don’t Lie. On why Ayo Jay is the only feature in the EP, ChuXchu said:

“I was and still am the biggest Ayo Jay fan and I always laugh when I think about the fact that I went from being a fan to a collaborator, and now a friend. He gave me my first shot and encouraged me to pursue this music thing, so it’s only right to have him be part of this important step in my life.”

And on the inspiration behind Luv Struck:

“…I want to show my range and I feel like there’s no better time to do that. I’m super excited about the project and I know it’s going to bring so many opportunities. It feels like I’m starting from scratch, a new name, a new sound; the beginning of a new era for ChuXchu.”
