Fast-rising Nigerian Afropop artist Coblaze has unveiled his latest body of work, a deeply expressive 6-track EP titled ‘Piece Of Me’. Blending elements of Afrobeat, highlife, and indigenous rhythms, the project captures the artist’s emotional landscape and cultural identity with raw honesty and musical finesse.
With production credits from industry talents LOL, 9fingers, Salamii, and Coblaze himself, the EP also features a standout collaboration with Igbo rap star Jeriq.
Opening track Bye Bye sets the tone with a heartfelt message of love and emotional clarity, while Dance infuses Yoruba percussions with upbeat Afrobeats energy to celebrate life’s fleeting joys.
The romantic ballad Ifeoma follows, showcasing Coblaze’s poetic side in a tribute to a woman he calls his “melody” and “medicine.” On Oshey, he praises African beauty with a flirty, generous tone, promising everything to the one who loves him back.
Favour takes a more introspective turn, with Coblaze reflecting on his journey, struggles, and the grace that carried him forward — a spiritual nod wrapped in soft Afro-fusion layers.
The project concludes with Cold Juice, featuring a culturally rich verse from Jeriq. Merging highlife with Afropop, the track delivers a strong Eastern Nigerian influence, closing the EP on a resonant and proudly indigenous note.
More than a music release, Piece Of Me is a personal diary in sound — a declaration of love, hope, struggle, and African pride.
