A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Thursday awarded N50m exemplary damages to the suspended CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

Alongside the N50m exemplary damages, the High Court has also restrained the police, DSS and other security agencies from arresting him, and ordered the release of his international passport.

Sanusi filed a court injunction stopping the security agencies from arresting him, after an attempted arrest and seizure of his passport, as he landed in Lagos after being suspended while on official assignment outside the country.
