To commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebration, the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa-Musawa, has released a specially curated Independence Day Party Playlist.
The playlist features a mix of Afrobeats superstars and rising talents, from internationally acclaimed artists like Burna Boy, Arya Starr, and Tems to emerging acts such as Fave and Taves. It is a tribute to the phenomenal growth of Nigerian music, which has continually pushed boundaries, earning global recognition and breaking new records along the way.
Musawa said,
“As we commemorate 64 years of our nation’s independence, it is pertinent to celebrate the power and soul of our music, which has always acted as a unifying force for our people, and the opportunity it presents to accelerate Nigeria’s local and global development.”
The Independence Day Party Playlist, available on Spotify, forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote a strong creative and cultural economy in Nigeria, spotlight emerging talent, and position the country as a global powerhouse for creative expression.
