Ceeander Entertainment in conjunction with The Dickens Sanomi Foundation presents MIDDLEMAN.

Directed by Ronke Ogunmakin
Produced by Cindy Ihua-Maduenyi
Story by Mitchell Aghatise
Director of Photography – Tatenda Jamera
Synopsis
A young and abtious boy, Mustapha, is thrown in the middle of social insecurity in Maiduguri, Borno State. At the peak of crisis in his town, he tries to stay motivated and decides to start a new chapter in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

MIDDLEMAN is a short film that captures the untold story of Mustapha and it seeks to address the issues of social insecurity and education in Nigeria. These issues are brought to life visually and provide inspiration to Nigerians which can then lead to more awareness and support in the fight for a safer country and the importance of education. With a strong script, powerful narrative and dialogue, the story is told from a young boy’s perspective and it doesn’t lose the entertainment factor.

The Middleman story is relevant because it is based on and culminates with the Nyanya Bomb Blast that took place in Abuja. Nothing of this magnitude and relevance has been adapted into a short film in the Nigerian industry.

The main character has qualities that would attract viewers because he represents innocence, dreams, ambitions, family virtue and change. The story follows Mustapha as he goes through satisfaction, happiness, loss, grief and acceptance and these are emotions that everyone can relate to.
