Davido A.K.A OBO (Omo Baba Olowo) is without doubt one of Africa’s biggest artistes at the moment. Right from the start OBO has been giving us one hit after the other. He is a co-owner of  HKN Music alongside his elder brother. In 2012, he launched his debut album Omo Baba Olowo which included hits such as Dami Duro, Overseas (featuring Sina Rambo) and All of You.

His single Back When, our first throwback song, featured Naeto C and was released in 2011. This was one of his very first songs, and it was obvious from then on that Nigeria’s music industry was about to take on a “one of a kind” artiste.

Also included on his album, Ekuro showed us the amorous side of Davido. It is a beautiful song with strong romantic Yoruba proverbs, and has an equally lovely video which was shot in Miami, Florida. Very different to what Davido usually delivers.

“E ma dami duro!” What a classic! Award winning single Dami Duro was released by OBO in 2011. What more can be said? The song speaks for itself. Watch and listen, and see why Davido is always going to be a favourite.

Only a few days ago Davido and Meek Mill collaborated and blessed us with a song (and a video!) titled Fans Mi. Check it out.
