Lagos-based RnB singer, producer and songwriter, Dami Oniru delivered a stellar performance yesterday on the latest episode of the Grammy digital series, Global Spin. The fast-rising star performed Runnin, a track off her 2019 album Bri’s Lounge. Dubbed from her birthname Brianna, Dami’s intent on the RnB-themed project is to create music one might listen to in their loungewear. In the love ballad, Dami sheds light on what her ideal relationship is regardless of the uncertainty that her feelings may or may not be mutual.
For her Global Spin performance, Dami is seated alongside her band members in a dim room lit by meagre tiny bulb erections. She delivers an intimate performance while flaunting her glistening vocals and peculiar flows. Clad in a white v-neck top and silky lounge set, Dami Oniru and her band served face, vocals and chords.
Dami’s introduction to the music scene dates back to 2016 with her debut single Iyawo. Since then, she has been making impressive strides and collaborated with Odunsi (The Engine), Remy Baggins and Jinmi Abduls.
Hats off to Dami, who has been putting in the work and showing no sign of letting up.
