Earlier this year MTN Project Fame Finalist famous for his mind blowing rendition of Labrinyth’s Jealous on the show, Dapo signed a contract with X3M Music and released a single; Vibe followed by another; Necessary both breezed past the music scene, not leaving any imprint whatsoever. Undeterred by a failure to retain any solid spot in the industry, Dapo came back with another single about a month titled Sisi Shade; an upbeat Yoruba ballad dedicated to the ‘love his life’. Today, he debuts the vibrant culture heavy video for it.
From his high pitched fuji inflected vocals articulating his wishes for his relationship, to the group of traditionally dressed dancers moving along to the traditional highlife instrumentals to the dramatic plot of the love story he’s telling, every element inputted in the creation of the video alludes an indigenous love story. Hopefully, this sticks and is not as unforgettable as the other singles.
