Darkovibes Builds Momentum For Debut Album With ‘Inna Song (Gin & Lime)’

As the musical landscape in Ghana continues to shift, there are a few standouts like Darkovibes who are poised to take over for the next generation.

This week, he returns with fellow Ghanaian singer-songwriter King Promise his new single Inna Song (Gin & Lime) after a successful run with Mr. Eazi on Come My Way. The bass-heavy single also serves as the latest track off forthcoming debut solo album Kpanlogo, which is due out for release on Friday, April 3 and features the likes of Wizkid, Mr. Eazi, Kwesi Arthur, and Joey B.

Darkovibes’ music defies genre and his effortless ability to coalesce many languages shines through on Inna Song, a bass-heavy love ballad largely articulated in English, Pidgin, Ga, and Twi, culminating in a contemporary sound that has earned him co-signs from some of Africa’s greatest including WizKid, Mr. Eazi, R2bees, and Stonebwoy.

As he preps to release his debut solo album Kpanlogo next month, Darkovibes is fusing his tried-and-tested sound with experimental approaches that will continue to push the envelope of Afrobeats music.
