Davido, Dremo, Mayorkun and Peruzzi Combine For DMW Single ‘Mind’

About ten years ago, some of the biggest songs to come out of Nigeria were label collaborations from the likes of Mo Hits. The last great label collaboration we saw was probably Dorobucci and the Mavins actually gave it a run until their roster became too big to accommodate. DMW is also beginning to enlarge in size with 8 acts under its roster today. For what we could call its true label debut, considering Prayer from 2017 only featured Mayorkun and Davido, Dremo and Peruzzi join the label’s front runners on a Fresh produced afropop record tagged Mind.
A record about love, each of the four verses we listen to centre around being satisfied extending and losing control their love to a woman while subtly trying to control her actions as lines like “when other girls misbehave, will you behave” signify. As with most label singles, it’s interesting to see no single artist steal the show or carry the song as has become the norm on most of the songs Davido is on today.
A video for Mind has been shot while DMW has already begun putting finishing touches on its next single, Flora My Flower which will also feature Mayorkun, Davido, Dremo and Peruzzi.
