Late last year, Davido’s single run rife with award winners and record breakers resulted in his long-awaited sophomore album that in turn overshadowed his aversion to projects and awakened the singer’s desire dish out compiled bodies of work to his fans. The twelve-month gap between his second and upcoming project is proof of this and the precision with which he’s planned the release of the seventeen track album, titled A Better Time. Having already announced the album’s release with Fem, he brandishes it today with the Lil Baby assisted So Crazy.
An uptempo Hip-Hop driven love song about bold feelings felt against all odds, So Crazy is reminiscent of Davido’s rapper days that produced songs like Fans Mi. It’s direction makes it an obvious comparison to songs like the latter but, coupled with Lil Baby’s delivery and Davido’s refined attitude, the song deserves its own moment in time.
