Contrary to what the song says, Davido is definitely available and on an impressive run with Unavailable. A standout feature with Musa Keys in his fourth studio album Timeless, the track has been remixed by the likes of Major Lazer since the release of the album, and the latest is with American rapper, Latto.

Davido’s collaboration with American rapper Latto for a remix is a continued expansion of the track which represents the growing fusion of Afrobeats with other genres. The lyrics of Unavailable remix are a dynamic fusion of Davido’s characteristic Afrobeats sound and Latto’s bold American rap flare, fused with his Nigerian background and performed in a mix of English and Pidgin, with the addition of Latto’s strong and self-assured rap style, the track is taken to another level.

As implied by the recurrent line “I’m unavailable,” which is a strong declaration of self-independence. The lyrics are catchy and resonate with ideas of self-confidence, and defiance.

The remix, which was produced by Magicsticks and Rage, keeps the original’s colourful amapiano characteristics while adding fresh sounds to complement Latto’s rap lyrics.

Since the release of the Timeless album, the Unavailable remix has received a great deal of praise, enthralling listeners, musicians, and even celebrities who have participated in challenges inspired by the song. The remix has not only continued this surge of engagement but has also elevated it to new heights.

The Unavailable remix is more than just a song; it reiterates how Afrobeats is changing and how much of an impact it is having on the world stage. It adds to the continuing discussion about the future of Afrobeats in a global context but also potentially produces a smash hit that will top the charts.

This collaboration is an example of Afrobeats broad appeal and its potential to keep shattering ceilings in music industries across the world.
